"After The Rain's" -:The rains came here. Finally its raining its been raining through the night. The sun is trying to come out but it is losing out to the showers. The rain is soaking into the ground and closing up the cracks in the soil. Soon it will be green again and the dry dusty cracked earth will be but a distant memory This painting consist of Blues ,off white ,Terracotta and Gold .. The blue is to represent the rain pooling on the Ground ,the Gold is a reflection of the sun that's trying to come out but loosening to the Rain ,the Terracotta and off white is the earth..To make this painting I first applied Terracotta paint to the canvas and smeared it over the whole canvas to create a solid back ground when that dried a few days later I applied a mixture of blue ,terracotta off white and gold and left it to dry in full sun for about a hour each day to get a cracked and dry appearance.. this compleated my "After The Rain's" if you look close enough you can see the imprints from my breast ..
