Big Shapely Stained Glass Painted Vase

Here is another of my colorful, organic stained glass painted vases. This one is larger than most of my pieces, and has an interesting, elegant shape; with a rounded bottom, and narrowing in at the center and then flaring out again at the top.

Some of the colors I used here are: amethyst purple, turquoise, blue, deep orange, chocolate brown and white.

I usually blend two or more colors within each section for a more unique and interesting colorful effect. The really cool and fun part is the translucency which enables you to see through the colors on one side to the colors on the other side of the glass, thus changing the colors as you view them, and making them seem to come alive and become "animated"; most especially when light intermingles within the colors.

It would look stunning just sitting on a windowsill and with the sun's rays shining brightly through it. The colors also cast gorgeous colorful shadows, when the sunlight shines through them (which you can see a little bit in the photos here)!

I have signed it on the bottom.

I show several photos here from differing angles, since it looks quite different depending on which angle you view it from. I also include a closeup view for detail of color and texture.

Although I have listed this piece of art as a "vase", it can be used to store any DRY items, not just flowers. I'm sure you can come up with a million and one uses for it, yourself, BUT...

PLEASE NOTE: that this piece is NOT dishwasher safe, so please don't try it. It can be used to store dry goods, but the outside (where the paint is) shouldn't get wet.

Thanks so much for looking!
