Big Colorful Stained Glass Painted Globe (Votive Candle Holder)

This is a very colorful large organic abstract stained glass painted globe that would be a beautiful votive holder for a large (pillar) candle.

It would also look stunning just sitting on a windowsill without a candle and with the sun's rays shining through all the colors.

It would make a fantastic gift for anyone.

It measures approx. 8"Hx6.5"W (@ widest part) and the opening at the top is approx. 5." across.

I have signed and dated it on the bottom.

I show several photos here from differing angles, since it looks quite different depending on which angle you view it from.

The colors have a beautiful translucency or iridescence to them; almost like dichroic glass. I achieve this look by blending two or more colors in each section. The black outlines that separate the colors are made with liquid leading. I then spread and blend the colors inside the sections with a toothpick, making sure to tap out any bubbles along the way, and also to extend the colors all the way to the edges of the black outlines.

Some of the colors I used in this piece are: Amethyst, bright blue, emerald green, yellow ochre, orange poppy, cocoa brown, slate blue, ruby red, and white.

This is a functional piece of art and can be used as a vase to display flowers, or as a (very large) candle votive, or even to just store dry items in on a coffee table or alone as a stunning centerpiece.

PLEASE NOTE: Candle NOT included, and if you should choose to use this piece as a candle holder, please use extreme caution and NEVER, ever leave lit candle unattended!

Also, please note that this piece is NOT dishwasher safe, so please don't try it. It can be used to store dry goods, but the outside shouldn't get wet.
