Colorful Votive Candle Holder (ROUND GLOBE)

This is a colorful, organic and abstract stained glass painted round globe. You can use it as a votive candle holder or you can store any small dry items inside and set it on a table, shelf or windowsill to display. When the sunlight shines through the colors, it will cast lovely colorful shadows.

I decided to put a modern abstract spin on it, and just went wild with color. This piece is truly a stunner in person! Absolutely LOVELY to gaze upon. The colors just hit you, and no matter which angle you view it from there is color everywhere!

The colors have a beautiful translucency or iridescence to them. I achieve this look by mixing 2 or more colors in each section.

Some of the colors I used here are: sparkling gold mixed with amber, denim blue, emerald green, orange poppy, rose quartz, amethyst and white. I use a toothpick to blend and spread the colors; making sure to go all the way to the edges of the black outlines. The black outlines that separate each section of color are made with liquid leading.

Please note that this piece is NOT dishwasher safe, so please don't try it. It can be used to store dry goods, but the outside where it's painted, shouldn't get wet.

This piece would look fabulous in any window of any home.
