I tried to get this piece ready for the 3-D show, but was too late! It is composed mainly of a paint rag - a piece of maroon colored t-shirt material that I wiped my brush on throughout all of 2002. In this way, I felt that it held a piece of each work that I had completed that year, and so it contained "a piece of my soul". I took the rag and bunched and folded it here and there, and using tacky glue, attached it to a piece of masonite. I printed out a page with the words, tore and burned the edges, and glued them to the cloth. Then I soaked it all with a semi-glossy acrylic sealer. I made a frame and painted it - I really wanted the frame with white trim to give the piece a finished, polished look. Getting the frame done was the part that held me up for getting into the 3-D show in time. :-/ But here it is now! Thanks for the "second chance". :-)
