Media:  Acryclic and Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Dimensions:  32" x 20" - Diptych 2 pcs
Date of Work:  October, 2005

This two piece painting is one of my new expressionist floral abstract series. The colors are to represent a Fall Harvest time of year. The flowers have a vintage retro 1960's appeal and if you remember that, you are with me, showing our aging wisdom or our middle age, which ever you prefer.

Reminiscent of Twiggy and Sixties Pop Art, the floral display is one that is meant to be plain and simply, a happy painting! Eye popping color and vibrant display is about the best way to describe this coloration.

The painting is slightly textured, from the Plaster of Paris base put on canvas in floral and circular patterns just prior to Acrylics. Oil paints were added next, finalized by an archival protective coating. The trick is to make sure enough paint is added to seep entirely through the plaster so that it bonds and all meshes together.
