Nothing like a guitar for good music, whether classical, jazz, country, folk, or rock and roll music, the guitar can sing a great song. I am not a good musician but I really do appreciate good music and could not resist painting this newly detailed rendition of my Strat guitar at Sunset.

I painted it and actually acquired the guitar in the last year as I'd never managed to get an electric guitar (toy) when I was in high school and initially playing around with guitars. I've always wanted one and it's great therapy. At times it's as theraputic as painting!

My favorite time to work on my guitar lessons "take two" is at sunset thus the coloration and title of this piece. Continuing music lessons later in life is fun and a great challenge.

Whether you like Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughn, or Segovia, this guitar art is meant to charm the music lover at heart. It's a gallery wrapped canvas with Acrylic Paint. Originally I did it as a silhouette but later went back and added the additional detail of the entire guitar as it didn't seem to work for me. The colors are in a word - "vibrant".
