Amber is one of the most popular art prints I've ever sold. She was our own dog and made an easy model as you can see. Unfortunately, we lost her this last March at the age of nine due to a sudden illness.

Amber died of Systemic Lupus stemming from Hemolytic Anemia. She was dead within days of her diagnosis. Her memory lives on and many a client has written to tell me how much she reminds us of their own Golden.

Amber's image has helped fundraising efforts for Goldens within several organizations including medical research for this breed. She was the impetus for starting a 'Golden Memories' portion on my website in fond remembrance of Amber and other animals who have departed from their human parents.

Amber's photo was originally shot as a candid snap shot on 35mm with available light. Later I scanned the photo, then eventually begin to toy around with it in my art programs. The finished product evolved over a period of time.
