"Warm and toasty is the American Native blanket. They are hand woven, truly a lost art form. This earth toned vibrant, expressionist painting is my rendition of a woolen blanket, complete with stripes for the Chief or the Medicine Person in the tribe. This painting is another of my abstract expressionist series. The colors represent a respect for the earth and brightly colored aspects of Southwestern tradition.

With today's decorator colors the painting is ageless, timeless. The heavy texture simulates the thread and cloth in the weaving with a vintage retro 1960's appeal sometimes seen in popular paintings of that time. It has eye popping color and vibrant hues. Use it now for the current season or enjoy it all year round, a perfect decorator item for your Southwest, Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, or Arizona decor. Put it over the fireplace next to American Native Pottery or even a blanket with a peace pipe. Either way, you are sure to bring on some compliments with such a look. This painting is dedicated to Native American Tradition and Lore."
