This painting is one of several that has fairly heavy textures in my new abstract series. Some are ever playful and many even hold a slight surprise. In this case, the earth colors are a primary theme of energy and lively creativity. They also have an extraordinary friend in the bright red orange which seems to bring some harmony of their song to a slightly higher note. One can almost see a Native American dance in these colors, too.

Or, we can picture the birds in the tropics as a way to see flight of color, or catch the desert in the early morning when it's light is very much on fire. Or even imagine a child's toy chest with pretty eye catching colors aglow ready for more play when the small owner wakes from his nap. I hope you enjoy this two panel painting as much as I did painting it. It's a contemporary abstract modern piece, yet similar to the feeling and concept of some that was created back in the 60's or 70's.
