I knew I was going to be an artist for as long as I can remember, and worked unwaveringly toward that goal throughout my childhood and young adult hood. (To the the dismay of my parents and the exclusion of all those "important" things like math, science, and other non-creative school priorities.)
I have worked as a professional commercial illustrator for 16 years. Not terribly inspiring work, but for fun, I create pin-up paintings for sale on eBay and as private commissions. I have gone through many stages in my art, from pencil to pen and ink, then in to color mediums, and most recently digital and 3-D art.
I live in Independence Iowa with my wife, glass artist Dawn Thompson, and our 2 children.
