Media:  glass, sterling silver, solder
Dimensions:  18 inches
Date of Work:  2008

This necklace uses the copper foil stained glass technique. Copper foil tape is placed on the edges of the glass, smoothed and then soldered. Since this is jewelry, I make sure to use a solder that has no lead or nickel. Instead of using new stained glass, I used sea glass (also called beach glass) that I found. Although I have a huge collection of beach glass, it wasn't easy to find three pieces that looked right together. I added sterling jumprings and then chain to finish the necklace. This listing is for an entry in the EBSQ Glass Show. It is considered COLD glass technique. Thanks for viewing!
