This old postage stamp has been in my collection of found objects, waiting to become a part of a bigger picture. For the past 8 years I felt at times that the people's voice in this country has not been heard. I held onto that little postage stamp, wondering how should I frame it? This year, I realized I could frame it in hope and the image of a man who I believe won an election, that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth. This is a small collage on paper. I created it with a postage stamp and an inked rubber stamp. The image of Obama was created using a transfer of a inkjet print and packing tape. The image itself is from a government website with copyright free images.
