I have always been something of a recycling artist. I have spent several years as an art and antique dealer in New York City's Chelsea section. I bring this appreciation of the past to my jewelry creations. I reuse antique and vintage items such as Victorian buttons, crackerjack and bubblegum charms, bakelite buckles and other little lost treasures. I like to contrast the precious with the found object and offer many surprises.
The vibrant streets of New York City offer me inspiration. I love the multi-cultural, multi-life-style, celebrations of fashion and fun that are displayed everyday. I'm also inspired by the sea. I live on the Jersey Shore and often walk the beaches and forests of the area. Here I find shells and branches, rocks and feathers. You'll find these in my jewelry too.
I find myself on the computer more and more each day. My past life was as a computer software designer. I guess it's not surprising that you will find computer keyboard keys, circuit boards and other geek gurl finds in my jewelry.
