Welcome to my profile here on ebsq
Welcome to my profile here on
EBSQ! I'm glad you took the time to see
this page. I am a 29 year old Modern Abstract Style Artist. My favorite surface
to paint on is gallery stretched canvas and I
sell them on eBay mostly, if you have time please take a look at my eBay
store.
The person who first inspired me to paint was my grandmother. She is a 'Bauernmahlerin'
(folk art/tole painting mostly on furniture)
in Switzerland, and ever since I was able to stand I've been watching her
paint. She is a well established folk artist in Switzerland and her many
pieces of painted furniture and national magazine entries are a manifest to
that. |

I,
on the other hand am not that well know yet.. but I do intend on
becoming famous one day ;) I paint every day and hone my art
skills. I noticed that recently if I do a search on yahoo, the
first six hits are actually about me and not some other Nathalie Van
though :)
I am mostly
self-taught, and my education doesn't really have anything to do with
art. I am an electrical engineering graduate which gave me lots of
patience and endurance, and the knowledge on how to build an autonomous
robot! I've also done some creative freelance writing and earned some
money that way. Now I get to do the fun stuff - paint all the time! My
favorite things to paint right now are martini's, abstract landscapes
and other abstractions. I paint something new almost every day. |
| Right now I stay at home with my two little kids, they're my pride and joy,
and my little daughter said to me just the other day, "I want to be an
artist when I grow up, just like you". That makes me so happy!
But I still think she should go finish a degree before she does this.. just in
case! ;) But her talent shows itself every day and she just won her first
art award at school!
Anyways, enough about me
for now, I have to go and paint! ;) Thanks for looking at my
profile! Check out my web page
if you have time too, or check my portfolio on EBSQ, I finally took the time to
add some of my sold paintings to it. I just sold painting #900 so
there are lots of them.. I just don't have time to make an online
gallery of all of them :) |
