This is a portrait of my youngest daughter Sophie at the age of 3. It is one of my favorite images of her. I enjoyed capturing the unconditional love and trust in her eyes as she delights in posing for Mom after her bath. I think this photo symbolizes the innocence of childhood.
This shot was made with a Konica TC SLR on Kodak Tri-X film. I most often used manual exposures but this was unrecorded. The framing and composition were mostly what you see; the image was only cropped to make it into a true 8 x 10 on the computer. The digital image was scanned from the negative. There was no manipulation other than removing dust spots and adjusting levels.
