"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mystical. It is the source of all true art and science." - Albert Einstein

I think what we sometimes forget is our imagination holds the truth to our soul, and to know this part of ourselves is to know our deepest desires.

I may have become an artist to escape the reality that my father died when I was only eleven. However, instead of escaping, what I found was truth. While digging deep into the realms of fantasy and mythology, I not only found a "tribe" to guide me, but I found intense beauty alongside the most gruesome ugliness. We all live somewhere in between, I believe, but it is the artist who has been chosen to show us these places to remind us that life is a product of the human imagination. Divine power may have created the whole universe, but it is the human being who chooses the path of humanity. It is an awesome responsibility, one which, on a day to day basis I forget, but when I remember, it makes me think, what am I doing about it?

I love art in all its forms. Because of this I have experimented with many media including acrylic, watercolor and oil paint, pastel, polymer clay, and words. Currently, I'm working in acrylic paint and polymer clay. My pencil drawings have been published in Sage Woman Magazine (spring & summer 2003, fall & winter 2004), and I have painted postage stamps for foreign countries and portraits. I have also sold many pieces of original art on eBay. In addition, my one of a kind (OOAK) polymer clay dollhouse dolls and fairy figures have been sold throughout the United States on eBay. I have been published in two literary journals, Peregrine and Primavera (short fiction), and in Children's Book Insider, Reptiles Magazine, The Artist's Magazine and Creations Magazine. My trade children's book, When Santa Was A Kid, was published by Scholastic, Inc, and my book Everglades was published by Grolier in 2004.

I'm happiest, it seems, when I'm creating, and I enjoy soaking up the world around me, finding inspiration in every living thing!

Recently, some of my images were liscensed by Heaven and Earth Designs, a company that produces some of the most beautiful fantasy cross-stitch patterns I have ever seen! Thanks to Bob and Michele for your wonderful company, and thanks to Victoria for discovering me! :-)
