This is the second piece in my " Women's Fashion as Social Statement" series. It is an original, one-of-a-kind collage/painting on stretched canvas that has been painted on the edges as well as the front. I call it, "Kimono Glow".
A womanless kimono made of imported papers and gold leaf seeks identity amidst an pearlized acrylic field of luminescent, abstract forms that seem to glow as they catch the light and dance about the canvas. More light reflection occurs through the metallic papers and varigated red gold leaf. The piece is heavily textured and beautiful.
