Normally I would in the main use a mid-grade pencil for drawing, and use pressure to define tones. However, I had these brand spanking new pencils graded HB through to 5B which were a Christmas present, so I though I would try something different, using all the pencil grades to establish the varying tonal values and provide the depth. As it is anatomy study and all, I have provided an uncluttered bonal structure representation for the knee also.
The reason I chose this subject for the EBSQ anatomy show was simple - I have had a sore knee for a few weeks now. I really should visit the doctor, but that would take time out, and I might not have any left to do things like ... well, draw my knee. And my wife reckons its just old age anyway.
