I will accept a commission on most "traditional" subjects, such as florals, landscapes, historical sites, songbirds and waterfowl. I'm also available for portraits, using photographs.

One of my most popular requests is that I paint a family home. This is usually a childhood home, a grandparent's home or a family "landmark" such as a barn or windmill. I try to recreate what you remember with the help of photos.

The Windmill painting below was commissioned to commemorate the windmill icon that is quickly disappearing from our rural landscapes; solar panels are replacing the use of windmills to pump water from a well.

This portrait of a toddler is an 11 x 14. It was painted from a photograph supplied by his grandmother.

I don't have a set price or plan ...... every commission is based on the size and the amount of time it takes to complete, .......the bigger it is, the longer it takes, so the more it will cost. I will give you an estimate after I have had time to review all the information (photos, special requests, etc.) with the promise that the final price will not exceed 20% of the first estimate.
