boxes have always held a fascination for me, they have so many different forms and uses. Pegasus is a great subject for a box that holds all kinds of dreams and aspirations. Boxes are a great subject for pyrography, this one is pine, after initially burning it, i decided it needed a little color, using oil pencil. Pyrography has long been used to decorate containers and boxes, before the advent of electricity, hot irons were used, To me it seems a little like going back to the roots of my medium, and giving it a new twist.
