I am a fan of ghost stories. as a child my mom and stepdad would go to great lengths to scare us silly. The stories almost always involved mouldering corpses from the grave that haunted cemeteries.... This piece is a pyrograph on paper I did awhile back, The haunted corpse bride from the grave, I have reworked this piece a few different ways and done a couple of different versions, but this one is my favorite. Burning on paper has always been fun for me, it's interesting to see just how deep you can burn before you burn a hole in the thing and ruin it...The background is a mix of pyro and ink washes.
