I am self-taught in mosaics and stained glass. I have been working in mosaics for approximately seven years, four years as a primary art form, worked in stained glass for over 10 years - acrylics for about four, and I have been drawing forever.

why I do this...

I create mixed and multimedia art - mosaics, sculpture, acrylics - things I would be proud of having in my home that reflect my imagination, which is quite active. But, in what ever I do, I'm driven to be very precise on representation - sometimes to the point of distraction because I'm into quality ['Would I hang that in my bedroom?"]... not quantity.

Humour plays a tremendous part in my art... I learned many years ago that if you can't laugh at a situation - or yourself - it's time to find another road. I finally found my road after years of walking another.

I have to take the time to thank my familial appraiser/'sounding board'... my sister, Nikki Davidson Moor, who is also a member of EBSQ... Sometimes it helps to have another set of 'artistic eyes' provide input.

I am a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) and the Mosaic Association of Australia (Mos-Oz).
