Robot cities act like their human makers. The few living things left on earth came together and created a circus so to obtain energy from the robot cities as well as cash in on their new found fame.

A large part of the success of the circus is the sideshow acts and Thomas the cyborg lion tamer and Gertrude, the mutated lion, are one of the largest draws. He is always careful to never hurt her with his laser whip and the crowd always loves it when she bites off one of his detachable legs; especially because robots actually never experience violence, except for this show and robot fighters. Thomas often wears antique priceless clothing during his shows and has been known to throw the bitten leg into the crowd, the young female robots scream wildly.
