This is a recent abstract work in oil on canvas. Most of my abstract paintings are, for me, a means of expressing another dimension of reality; something mysterious that lies just beneath the surface of daily life as I experience it.
Having lived with this painting for a couple months now, I am better able to relate to it than when I was in the process of creating it. Although I was pleased with the feelings I experienced through color, I now respond more to the windows of form that allow my mind to wander into another world, below the surface of the painting itself.
