To begin, I've always had a desire to work with my hands. In this portfolio you'll find examples of the directions my desires have taken me. The work shown here represents a sample of the different areas in which I have a creative interest. Each medium provides me with a different set of experiences with no two quite the same. The photography is a fairly technical process and can take a bit of time between taking the photos and actually seeing the finished results whereas the woodworking is very hands on from cutting the wood to constructing &/or applying the various elements, to the final painting or finishing. I consider the jewelry to be creative play, not a primary medium for me but one in which I've always had an interest. It gives me the quickest satisfaction in that I can sit down and actually finish a piece in a matter of hours instead of days, weeks & sometimes months that the previous processes require. Most of the pieces are one-of-a-kind though there are a few that I can & will make multiples of. (woodworking and photography).
