This charming image is from my original alkyd oil painting contribution to the new Louis Lavoie mural project involving the works of hundreds of equine artists from around the world. This is the latest of numerous 'Mural Mosaics' designed and orchestrated by Mr. Lavoie, "Le Cadeau du Cheval - The Horse Gift" I am very proud and honored to be included as one of the participating artists on this awesome project! The mural is a giant 18x22 feet and composed of 238 panels. Each of the panels is painted twice, first Mr. Lavoi paints his 'Mother Image' on all the assembled panels, then the mural is disassembled and sent to all the participating artists who each create their own painting, based on the colors, values, and lines already painted onto the panel. At this point, neither I, nor any of the other artists know what the 'Mother Image" looks like, nor, will any of us know until the unveiling of the completed mural in Sept. 2008.
