Media:  oil on birch
Dimensions:  4x6x1/8 inches
Date of Work:  July 2007

Mother and infant centaurs share a quiet moment as they sit by a sunny morning window. Centaurs have become a favorite equine (sort of) fantasy subject for me. I enjoy trying to visualise what they might actually be like if they were real, and, I often create elaborate cultures and worlds in which they might exist in paint! "A Quiet Moment" is an OSWOA (Original Small Work Of Art), and, as with all OSWOAs, it is a flat, original miniature work of art in the set 4x6 format . It is painted in oil paint on a gessoed 1/8" thick birch plywood panel.
