This piece is based on the song "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult. I know nothing about the band really - I just love this song. This is the 2nd piece in my new series of artwork based on / illustrating lines from songs. Its inspired by my love of music - which has always affected and inspired my work. Some of my favorite songs bring interesting pictures to mind, and this image - pretty much exactly as it appears - flashed in my head while listening to the song.
