This is a piece I made for the newly opened office of a friend.
It is a very large piece I painted on canvas, and then stretched with a gallery wrap on a custom 1 1/2 inch deep frame created for the space it was destined to, that's why the format is unusual--and quite unfit to be displayed on the internet!
The idea was born keeping in mind my friend's job, which is a technical one, and the surroundings we live in---since his technical job is strictly tied to the environment.
I usually don't paint landscapes, and even less tuscan landscapes, since so many other artists do it better and enjoy it more than me; nevertheless, the idea to give my landscape a steampunk twist, made the whole project seem different to me and in fact very tempting!
So I had a lot of fun imagining this Tuscan steampunk landscape......which I called very simply Tosco-steampunk landscape.
One of the comments I received for it which I loved most was from a person who sat and deepened herself in it for some minutes and then said "boy there's a whole lot of traffic in this sky!!!"
