Bridgette S. Walker
I have lived in South Carolina my entire life. Born in Anderson County on September 18, 1970, I was raised in Honea Path and attended college later in Greenwood.
I love the use of color and the chance to express. Many of my paintings come from the camera within...each one clearly an image from the mind's eye. Some of the pieces I create are very imaginative and others seem on a more real level, but with a twist of my imagination thrown in for good measure.
I may create a bunny, but paint it orange or purple. A cat may end up blue. Many times I create with no model or reference image in front of me...just put my hands to work and feel what comes out.
I am , for the most part , a self - taught artist. I attended Lander University and graduated with a History degree in 1993. In more recent years, I have studied art with a wonderful local artist. My teacher was Rosalie S. Cromer. I am a member of Greenwood Artist Guild and EBSQ.
The best way for me to learn is to do!
