I took this photo upon leaving my neighborhood precinct immediately after voting the morning of 11/04/08....

While the photo was intended for submission into the EBSQ Blog's "Voter's Photography Challenge" , regardless I was glad to be documenting this truly historic event personally for my own benefit. I admit however I was feeling somewhat pressured to take the photo quickly -- trying to avoid folks and cars and such making their way into the frame (as well as calling undue attention to myself squatting around in front of the campaign signs taking pictures of my own hand!). I wasn't terribly optimistic as to how my hastily snapped shots were going to turn out.

Once uploaded though, I was pleasantly surprised by this shot in particular. I thought the colors and angles and overall composition turned out rather nicely.

In any case, I know this photo will bring back many personal memories of that exciting election day for me, for years to come....
