Media:  Painted Furniture (Dresser), Acrylics
Dimensions:  4' x 18"
Date of Work:  2002

Years ago, shortly after my husband and I purchased our first home, we crept out in the dark of night to surreptitiously retrieve a shabby old dresser from a neighboring curbside, with the intention of satisfying our newly acquired need for additional furniture. I had promised my skeptical husband I could make something useful and worthwhile from this rather dubious find....

The result was a fun, nifty dresser for my young son's new bedroom, painted on all sides with lively colorful scenes. The overall theme was Soccer, as per my son's special request . Hence here we have an entire dresser side panel depicting children playing a friendly scrimmage, under the watchful eye of the sun...

(To note: Naturally this was all REALLY cool when my son was 7 years old. And now that he's 15? Well, not so much...)
