The idea of a flying monkey
riding a shark popped into my head
like a flea on a coon hound.
So I started painting. No drawing
or sketching....just painting straight
onto this amazing surface and
this is what emerged.

Once I saw the central image
I had to start thinking a bit more,
but everything seemed to take
its proper place without force.

Looking down
on the carnival/circus/sideshow
from above is a little too much like reality.....
even when it's this surreal.

I'm just getting started with this imagery.
