I did this face on the ground. Although I started this series in the air. ( I had to take a series of planes rides this summer and decided to use that time working on small watercolor faces.) First I drew with a gel pen in black ink and then I used watercolor crayons to mark the areas of color. Finally I used water to spread the color from the crayon marks.
