Golden Kio Pond I is the first in a set of two paintings. The soothing movements of the koi in the sunlit pond give the viewer a calm and meditative frame of mind. The water lilies catch the light and have a glow of their own.

We have a little pond and have enjoyed the lilies and other water plants. We also put in some small fish that were a cross between goldfish and koi but found them to be very shy and hid beneath the leaves most of the time.

These paintings will both brighten and give an air of tranquil peace in the area it is displayed.
