The artist's grandchildren returning from a hike to the river; caught in a tender moment when the older boy was comforting his cousin saddened by a disappointment. Sunshine and shadows are symbolic of life's joys and challenges and how we can help to bear one another's burdens. This image brought to mind the scripture, John 14:27 - "...let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid." Winner of Peoples' Choice Award three consecutive days at Washington State's Puyallup Fair. Offered for the first time as an ACEO Artist Trading Card ~ A great affordable way to collect fine art. This piece is included in my "30 Second Escape" series, intended to be displayed by one's work area when a momentary visual breath of fresh air would give a lift. Treat yourself or someone you care about.
