I was born in the urban setting of Bridgeport, CT ... Connecticut's biggest city in 1964. The grandchild of Scottish & Irish immigrants, my family had seen many hard times in the old countries. They brought with them great work ethic & came to America with many hopes & dreams. My father followed in his father's footsteps & became a toolmaker, but also inherited great artistic talent. He painted & did portraits, but never considered a career in art, since he worked 60-70 hours a week to provide for the family.
I never actually painted until high school & never really developed, as I was more intrigued by playing drums, chasing girls & having a good time. I'd design fliers for my band & dreamed of one day making it to the big time. I was playing clubs at 17 & continued chasing my dream until just a few years ago. During that time, I became a mechanical draftsman, got married to a beautiful woman, bought a house & became a father.
In 2003, I finally acquired the means to purchase supplies & begin a venture that I've wanted to start for many years. My fingers were itching to create art at any cost. The results speak for themselves. Every day is a new adventure & new experience.
Just recently I've been exploring my interest in Mixed Media, or what some call "3D art". Painting has provided me with an outlet for my artistic talents, but my desire to really make a major impact on people has led me to 3D art. In the coming years, I look to create artworks that will excite, stimulate & tantalize; that will explode & leave it's visual shrapnel embedded in the viewers' mind .
