This semi-abstract painting is part of my New York Times series. I adhere pieces of the newspaper to the canvas and then paint a scene of New York City. Sometimes I painted right over the paper bits so only the added texture is visible. In this one I have left the two pieces showing, one of which I used as the title of the painting. This is another New York fantasy, the buildings are in odd colors. The Empire State Building is a deep red, for example.
Edges of the wrapped canvas are painted black, making a frame unecessary.
Original one of a kind. Not a print or copy. Signed and dated on front, signed, dated and titled on back.
