I have done quite a few commissions of my floral on black series, but any other background color is fine. Many collectors see a piece Ive done and it either sells before they can bid or its not quite the right color. They then contact me to arrange to make them a similar piece. Since each commission is different, I have no set price or plan. Generally they go for anywhere from $150 to $600. I never paint a commission for the opening bid on ebay. The opening bid is the absolute lowest I will take for a painting and I look upon it as being a bit like advertising, I ask for 50% up front, with the final 50% due when the painting is finished. I do not do many revisions, if at all. But that's because I try to ask as many questions as possible and send as many image ideas as I can...so we are both clear on the vision. You can even send me paint chips so I am clear on the color. I will send you periodic updates for your review. Ocaisionally I will start a commission that for some reason (only the muse knows) just will not come easily. Instead of forcing the issue I'd rather let it sit for awhile than force the process. It has only happened to me twice out of several commissions over the years, but I like to warn my collectors up front. Generally it only happens when I accept a commission out of my subject range. It never happens if I am recreating a style I have already painted. Please remember that my art is more intuitive in nature and I am not able to see inside your head. I do not paint in any realistic style whatsoever! There are tons of artists who do far better than me in that area! But if you like my colorful somewhat pop art style, lets work together!
