Who I am (in a heavily abbreviated sort of way)
First and foremost, I am an artist. I was aware of this when studying art at the University of Rio Grande, and then apparently forgot when I graduated and entered the corporate world. Something snapped along the way, and it took several years for me to realize that my creative side was getting rather weary of being ignored. Thus, I began painting again, and it has become something of an obsession. Addiction has never been a happier thing.
My (bad) influences
I have endured more art history classes than I ever care to remember; still, I never found it difficult to annoy the professors with my choices in who I let influence my art. Those influences still remain today (although in a more subtle fashion): Salvador Dali, H.R. Giger, Jackson Pollock, and that homeless guy under the US 35 bridge who created murals with orange rinds and live fish. My inspiration comes from unlikely sources, from abandoned buildings to aquatic life. Oh, and coffee.
