This piece is about the strong woman in us all; a surrealistic metaphor for mother nature. It is part of a series of abstract nudes.

I was feeling very good the day I started this painting, exuberant, even. I think this piece portrays that feeling of being "above it all" very well. Just looking at it makes me feel good.

As for the background, it is purely abstract in thought and meant to complement the figure.
