Sunlight dances across grasses and the leaves of a Virginia Creeper
Another tangle of grasses captures my interest especially with that beautiful red Virginia Creeper basking in the sunlight. However often I paint a tangle of grasses it is always a new experience when I do it again. I suppose that is because whatever similarities this tangle may have in common with other tangles I have painted, they're unique, totally different. I never find any simple solutions for such subjects but truly I am not looking for simple solutions. Instead I'm trying to connect with my subjects, to let my brushes trace each blade like fingers reaching out to touch them there in the woods.
