Color and light capture the magic of fall within a few leaves and green mosses.

There is more detail in the brightly lit leaf than shows in this photo. I loved the dramatic change in light and color. There is almost diagonal stripes caused by light and shadow which compositionally I found most interesting. Painting the red leaves was such a delight. This is one of my favorite paintings.
