This is a bead-embroidered portrait of my little sister reading a Shel Silverstein book to our Airedale Terrier. I remember that she often read bedtime stories and poems to Tawny and Tawny always listened intently. Shel Silverstein was a favourite of mine:)

COME SKATING

They said come skating

They said its so nice

They said come skating

I'd done it twice

They said come skating

It sounded nice...

I wore roller- They meant ice.

This poem was perfect because we used to roller skate 3 times a week, but for some reason, we never went ice-skating!
