I constructed this piece in the traditional lead came method, most associated with church windows. I used heavy lead and cathederal, (transluscent), glass in colors traditonally used during the Middle Ages for most of the piece to represent the tradition of the Christian church. Outside borders were painted with black enamel, then designes were scribed in the paint; a technique also used heavily for church windows of the Middle Ages. The figure is elongated to reflect traditonal Byzantine proportions, and airbrushed using oven fired enamel paints.
