Melted crayon wax...I guess I have never been able to leave Crayola wonder behind with pig tails and slip-and-slide. The hues are so vivid and the wax offers a completely different dimension yet provides me with the painterly qualities I crave. This technique combined with the almost printmaking appearance I get when abstracting the figure to the bare minimum (planes, curves, etc...) on the glass frames is a unique aproach at addressing the artistic issues of interpreting the human form.
