This is an illustration for a fantasy novel I am in the process of writing. Here, the grandmother Wisdom goddess, Sofia, sits vigil with her animal helpers... the tabby house-cat, Toby, carries messages to her by travelling the secret "wild-road" to magic places at the edge of the ordinary world.
