She entered the world alone, Her differences deep, to the core of her bone Separated from those around, by the very soul of her. The differences overwhelmed her and she learned to defer To the opinions of the others, She believed were her brothers.

As she grew older and time moved on, They called her a duckling but she was the swan. She didn't know that they were telling her lies. She huddled within and learned to disguise All the truths that lived inside of her soul. The truths and the magic that would make her whole.

So to live in the circus, she learned to survive. She learned what to do to just to stay alive. She took charge of the ring and learned to control. But the energy came from the deep part of her soul. The cries from her heart, she could not ignore It was time to go on a search for the door.

The door to the magic of life and of love, Was there for the seeking, she'd never dreamed of A world filled with peace and with love and with joy. A place where the side show couldn't destroy Who she was and there she could finally heal, The deep wounds in her heart that she'd tried to conceal.

So for now, she keeps the players at bay While when they're not looking she seeks for the way, To the door to her magic where she'll always win. To the place where being normal is not called a sin. To a place where she'll always be strong and not weak. To a place where finally, she's not the freak
