Although the word lemur comes from the Latin word lemures, meaning "spirit of the night", the ring-tailed lemur is happy to bandy about during the day!! The hypnotic little lemur sprite talks to the lemurs and uses her stripes to lull onlookers into a daze. That way she can play her little tricks! Beware! Enjoy this painting of gothic whimsy!
